In recent years there has been a growing awareness of increases in sound pollution. The noise levels in higher density living units has resulted in the need to provide more efficient sound insulation, particularly within one’s own four walls. Only adequate sound insulation of all components of the structural elements will meet these requirements.

Egcotritt – acoustic decoupling shear dowels

Egcotritt is a shear force dowel system (dowel part/acoustic box) suitable for use with structural elements made of concrete, reinforced concrete or masonry, for which acoustic decoupling is required. Egcotritt reduces the levels of undesirable impact sound transmissions that can arise with flights of stairs, stair landings, exterior corridors and cantilever balconies.

  • Up to 32 dB impact sound reduction
  • Approval by EMPA to ISO/DIS 140
  • Suitable for precast elements and in-situ concrete
  • Fire resistance rating to R120

Egcosono – acoustic decoupling system

Egcosono acoustic decoupling system protects against undesirable impact sound transmissions in staircases by the acoustic decoupling of stair landings. The required reinforcement cage can be included in our supply.

  • Impact sound reduction of up to 27 dB
  • Fire resistance class to R90
  • Statics according to DIN 1045-1
  • Suitable for stair landings in-situ concrete / precast concrete construction
  • Elastomeric bedding approved to international standards
